 Tool
Division
Hand tools, although commonly used, are specialized
for particular jobs. Always use the right size and type of tool
for the job being done. Keep tools in proper working condition
and discard any tools that are worn or used beyond their useful
life.
Never
use chisels or punches with "mushroomed" heads.
They may chip and cause injury.
Only power impact sockets should be used on pneumatic
or electric impact wrenches. Never use chrome sockets or accessories.
All
wrenches are designed to a specific-size-length-strength ration.
The use
of a "cheater" or any other means for
increased leverage is hazardous. Pull on a wrench, don't push.
Keep hammer heads tightened on handle. Do not strike
one hammer with another hammer. A hammer blow should always be
struck squarely. Avoid glancing blows.
Protect your eyes, through the use of safety glasses
or goggles. This is recommended for any job involving the use of
tools; particularly when using punches, chisels and hammers; or
any other striking or struck tools.
Use hand tools only for their designed purpose and
within their size range.
Periodic inspection of hand tools by competent trained
personnel is a safety must.
