Proposition 65 Compliance Notification

RE: Notice - Compliance with the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986

Dear Valued Customer,

Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. conducts its business in compliance with all applicable laws, including the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, as amended (“Law” or “Proposition 65”), which requires businesses to place “clear and reasonable” warning labels on products containing chemicals on the Proposition 65 chemical list. Although these warning labels are only required for products sold to California consumers, all regulated products manufactured by Martin will contain a warning label.

Based on the current Proposition 65 chemical list, our line of industrial hand tools are the only products regulated by Proposition 65 because they contain nickel and chromium. In the case of finished product, a warning label will be present on the product or immediate packaging of our industrial hand tools. If our industrial hand tools are sold as a component part or bulk packed, the warning label will be visible on the immediate packaging containing the component or bulk product(s).

Please note that Proposition 65 warning labels do not mean a product is in violation of any product safety standards or requirements. For more information about Proposition 65, go to
